On the afternoon of December 14, 2025, the "Inherit Jiangxi's Charm, Uphold World's Harmony" Jiangxi "Tengwang Pavilion Cup" 2025 International Model United Nations Conference drew a successful close at the Binjiang Campus of the High School Affiliated to Jiangxi Normal University. Nearly 700 delegates from over 40 schools worldwide attended the closing ceremony, witnessing the successful conclusion of this international Model UN event.
Distinguished guests present included Zhu Xiaoyan, Vice President of the Latin America Branch of the Western Returned Scholars Association and former Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassies in Peru and Colombia; Joyce Marie Davis, President of the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg; Dr. John Sygielski, President of the Central Pennsylvania Community College; Wu Zuowen, Director of the International Exchange Department of Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education; Yi Juan, Party Secretary of the High School Affiliated to Jiangxi Normal University; Zhu Bin, Principal of the High School Affiliated to Jiangxi Normal University; Russell Wimberley Goodman, Secretary-General of the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg; Liu Jian, Deputy Director of the UN Sustainable Development Goals Quality Education Executive Committee; Liu Jinggui, Principal of the Binjiang Campus of the High School Affiliated to Jiangxi Normal University; Cole Davis Goodman, Outreach Officer of the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg; Shuhan Chou Wang, former Deputy Director of the National Foreign Language Center at the University of Maryland; and Zhu Ling, Executive Director of the Canal Cities Model UN Conference.
The chairs delivered a post-conference summary of the three-day event. Divided into four sessions, the conference featured ten committees—the 1945 San Francisco Conference, Committee on World Food Security, International Telecommunication Union, UNCTAD, FAO, UNSC, IMO, UNODC, SOCHUM and CSW—where delegates deliberated on diverse global issues. Through dynamic discussions over the three days, participants not only honed their diplomatic negotiation and cross-cultural communication skills, but also deepened their understanding of global governance amid ideological exchanges, demonstrating the international vision and sense of responsibility of young people in the new era.
After intense deliberations across the four sessions, a range of awards were presented to recognize delegates' outstanding performance, including Best Delegate, Outstanding Delegate, Honorable Mention, Personal Excellence, Best Position Paper, Model UN Star, Publicity Ambassador, Best Delegation, Outstanding Delegation and Honorable Mention Delegation.
The successful hosting of this conference not only enhanced participants' comprehensive capabilities, but also planted the seeds of global awareness and engagement in international affairs in their hearts. It has built a vital platform for advancing youth international exchanges and nurturing future talents for global governance.
