In today's increasingly globalized world, more and more young people are turning their attention to diplomacy and international issues. With curiosity and aspirations for the world, they step onto the stage of Model United Nations conferences. Here, they are no longer just ordinary students but 'diplomats' representing different countries. Clad in formal attire, they engage in discussions on international affairs with a mature and confident demeanor.

The Model United Nations conference not only enhances the international perspective and critical thinking skills of young people but also cultivates their leadership abilities and spirit of teamwork. Throughout this process, they learn to take responsibility and be accountable for their viewpoints and decisions. It clarifies their role and responsibility in the world. They realize that everyone can contribute their part to solving global issues.

Conference Setup

The current Canal City International Model United Nations Conference is divided into three groups: high school, middle school, and elementary school. Each group is further divided into different committees, where discussions are conducted using both English and Chinese as working languages.

The high school group focuses on thoroughly exploring the substance of the topics, encouraging participating delegates to fully utilize their academic abilities, analyze core issues, develop global thinking, and consider feasible measures beneficial to the world.

The middle school group emphasizes integrating the topics with classroom learning, guiding participating delegates to apply what they have learned into practice and engage in long-term, in-depth thinking about the issues by combining existing knowledge.

The elementary school group focuses on cultivating the global perspective of participating delegates. Through detailed academic training and conference guidance, delegates are helped to establish a general understanding of international issues and cultivate habits of paying attention to global problems.
