Committee Introduction
In 2022, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations's state of World Food Security and nutrition report considered food security a comprehensive concept, “All People, at all times, have physical, social and economic access to adequate, safe and nutritious food to meet their dietary needs and dietary preferences for an active and healthy life.”Currently, the food system faces unprecedented challenges, including poorly managed food waste and unequal access to nutritious food resulting in malnutrition. Addressing this complex issue demands collaboration among government, farmers, business owners, and civilians to collectively generate insights and implement effective solutions. This stakeholder dialogue aims to dissect details and foster partnerships that can facilitate the transformation and innovation necessary to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)."
